Just a few more days to go before the exams. This is my ticket to Australia.. well.. at least 4/6 of it.

I draw my strength from God

  • Adrian United

Now here's something blog worthy to talk about. I was in uni.. and was online with my laptop. Grace was online.. and I didn't hesitate to tell her about Adrian's recent "attachment". Predictably, reactions were high, just like mine was when I first found out. Not long afterwards, Ming came online and the same process repeated itself . A few moments later.. more of our CPU buddies came online.. one by one were added into the conversation Ming and Grace started.

The conversation where Grace, Ming, Dutt, Adrian, Lydia and myself were having

Soon, the VIP himself came online! So he too was added for further demystification of his situation at this point of time. My "informant" was also added into the chatroom.

It's so cool having all of us converging in the way we did.. it was definately a rare sight. All because of our dear friend Adrian.. who became a common subject of discussion, united us all for a brief moment.. just as Kelvin Hew did during our days in Taylors. Heh heh (sarcastic tone).. All the best Adrian with Sue Anne! :)

Also, great thanks to someone, who I will not mention here to protect her image. If weren't for you... we wounldn't have had as much fun as we did. Thank youuu~ :P

  • 123

Wow... that's the way I'll describe this years Founder's Day. The 123rd anniversary of the birth of the Boys' Brigade movement. It was to be a special day.. at least it was supposed to be. There was a carnival in the form of the Amazing Race for the members... but officers like me just loafed around.. just budding myself here and there. I really enjoyed myself today.. it was a good break after my assignments and crap.

Truthfully, it wasn't the programs which made the day.. nor was it the sudden clearing of the haze or the venue..

    .. it was the fellowship.

Time after time I've been amazed by this element which makes all times fun. Fellowship.

We often talk about the nicest venue.. with the nicest programs... nicest food... and all the other things that sound pleasing to the ear. But to me ... who needs that..?

Well, I'm not saying that the Founder's Day sucked though... to me it was great! Considering the whole thing was organized by NCOs (Well, mostly)! Well done 1st KL! My first Founder's Day was in Wesley (1997).. does feel great to have it there again.

    The Colonel's Salute!

I like this picture alot.. it makes me feel like "my generation" is rising up and starting to show the way for the others.. (not that I'm implying that we're rising up against the senior officers or anything).. but I really like it when all of us come together.. especially working together in events like these.

I'd like to dedicate this entry in remembrance of this "elite" team, my fellow officers and friends, who consist of the following:

1st Kuala Lumpur Company - Lt. Wong Giok Leigh (5 years older... but nvm..)
10th Kuala Lumpur Company - WO. Esther, SSgt. Mark Tan
2nd Subang Jaya Company - WO. Ng Sek Yan
4th Kajang Company - Lt. Lois Wang
BBHQ/Ex-1st Negeri Sembilan - WO. Wong Kim Loong
    Ex-3rd Kuala Lumpur & ex-2nd Subang Jaya - Ex-WO. Sim Rick Kee

Wong Giok Leigh (1st KL), Esther Chiew 10th KL), Me (3rd KL), Lee Zhen Bin (1st KL)

I really see these people as the flag bearers to their companies for their for our generation. They have definately impacted their own companies in their own way.. and a beacon to the other companies around them. One thing I like about us is how well we get along and support one another when we gather like this. It's like a common link that makes us click instantenously. I really look forward to future meetings and events.. and personally I hope more people can be like them.. cause they have really influenced, inspired and encouraged me in their own way. To me, they aren't just serving a ministry.. they're also agents of necessary change.

Oh.. to end this entry... here's something cool that happened during Founder's Day. The synopsis:CIMG4819

We had a stall where a "fear factor" game had an aquarium loaded with mealworms.. a maggot like creature. Towards the end of the day.. Geok Leigh decided to have some fun with Yew Heng, who was grossed out with the sight of the mealworms in the beginning. Before Leigh went into action, I offered to have it all captured on video. Here's what was recorded. Take note that Mr. Lee had no idea was went down his shirt initially. Enjoy!
