"Where does it come from? This quest..
This need to solve lifes mysteries from the simplest of questions can never be answered..

Ah.. been along time since I've played with Photoshop and ImageReady like this. I was doing a promo (actually, more a reminder than a promo) for this years OCF winter camp. I'm so proud of myself~.. thank God for the inspiration and drive! Hopefully, there's more to come from me. 

Wow. It's been so long since I had a BB related article here. So let's talk about one.

It annoys me of how a lot of people use the term L/Cpl, S/Sgt and W/O. Honestly, they just do not make sense. Generally in literature slashes are used to denote words with an alternative - either something totally different or something similar. So, what they mean would be:

Y/N = Yes or no?

L/Cpl = Lance or Corporal?

S/Sgt = Staff or Sergeant?

W/O = Warrant or Officer?

For this reason, this is usually why I always use terms like LCpl, SSgt, and WO without a slash in between. Get it right people. If the slash were there you would be seeing terms like:

U/S/A instead of USA

F/B/I instead of FBI                            (duh~!)

B/B/M instead of BBM
(it must be noted that the 100% rightful way would be U.S.A, but its acceptable to do without the periods)

Another thing that annoys me is the short form  - coy - to shotern the word company. Again, to me, it's sounds so darn wrong. We already have a short form for the word company - co.

Coy reminds of a generally a few things:

Let's put it all into one sentence, for example:

"3rd Kuala Bear Coy" (say it expressing the y). EWWW! GROSS!!!

I don't know where you came from, whether or not you've used the.. "expression" coy for generations. I'm telling you it's wrong. Someone obviously screwed up (I think this problem originated from Malaysia). To be safe, don't bother using the short form at all. Just type in the full word or not type it all. At least it looks normal. So get these few terms right and stop embarassing yourselves - the world is watching (I mention this in light of several BBM websites and activities on international forums).

You most probably have heard of the phrase "never cross the path of a black cat". This term is associated with superstition and bad luck which may befall upon you if you happen to cross its path. It is said that evil spirits dwell in these cats. In the western world, black cats are associated with witches.. some even saying they are witches in form of these domestic animals.

I'm not usually one who takes superstition seriously. But yesterday as I was going about my business at home, an unusual black figure caught my eye. It was starring at me, attentively, and as though stalkingly. Of course, the knowledge of these superstitions popped up in my head.

I wasn't worried, cause you if took the term litreally, "never cross the path of a black cat".. it needs to be walking or heading somewhere and you need to have some form of action which advertedly cause it to divert from intented course. So technically, there shouldn't be any bad luck.. if any. And I so happen to be a cat lover.

I ran into my room, got my camera and snapped a few shots. The cat wasn't shaken by the flashes.. I was hoping for some form of reaction, but it sat still like a statue with an intimidating pose. Annoyed, I move closer towards it and in an instant it dissapeared into the bush.

It was probably a bad mistake to disturb it. That night I had a miserable time with my assignments and also had a horrible arguement with a friend. Freaky.

So here's one for the stats. Play on the safe side. Never bother a black cat.

I found a cheaper, warmer and prettier way to conserve electricity. Loving it.
